Client:

Oliver “Oli” Marmol is the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals. He and his wife Amber believe strongly in developing the “whole athlete”: cultivating life skills in players alongside their baseball training.

Challenge:

Oli and Amber have created Versus, a sports ed-tech company designed to teach athletes these skills. Versus operates similar to Masterclass but focuses primarily on sports, connecting professional athlete mentors with aspiring young people. The Marmols needed a Hello World letter to connect potential users with their program.

Solution:

I wrote this “Hello World” letter for the company launch using extensive documentation from the client, including a press statement, recorded interviews, and other notes. The result builds excitement in the release while also showcasing the company’s purpose and values to persuade readers to discover more.
